Ah, I found the hex character that will let you edit the proficiency stats. Does anyone know what the max level is?
No idea, but what hex variable and what program?

Using XVI32. I don't know if it'll be in the same co-ordinate in every save, but it's easy enough to find. At the top of the .sav is WeaponProficiencySkills.Skill_[YourWeaponOfChoice]Proficiency. After that is a hex string: "00 value 00 00 00 random-character". That second value is the proficiency level, you can just enter 50.
Here's a nice little tip to enable vsync and triple buffering so that you can alleviate screen tearing without killing your framerate.
If like me, you experience some rather extreme screen tearing, even though the framerate is stable, do this.
Download the latest version of Riva tuner from downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163
Install the app and then open the install folder and within that the tools folder. Open the folder named D3DOverrider and run the app. Add your Borderlands.EXE to the D3DOverider menu (depending up on what version you have - Retail, STEAM, D2D) the app may be called WillowGame.EXE also. Now, highlight your EXE in the list and select to enable both vsync and triple buffering. Triple buffering will allow the game to maintain a much higher minimum framerate with vsync enabled. This has made the game far more enjoyable for me as I no longer get screen tearing, but can run the game maxed out at 1920x1200 and drop no lower than 52 FPS (which would have been immediately cut to 30 FPS without triple buffering).
Also, if you hate the sluggish mouse speed in the game menus, edit the WikllowInput.ini file. Simply search for bEnableMouseSmoothing=true, change true to false. No more sluggish mouse in the menus.

Any chance we could have an option for removing skill points in future releases? Since I have all my skills maxed out, and still gaining skills every level. Also, an option for 100000 dollars and 10000 exp on top of the 10000 and 1000 respectively. Thanks for this awesome trainer, had a lot of fun with it.
Hey guys thanks for the trainer, but it doesn't work with the one from Direct2Drive, the moment i press F1 on the trainer, the game would immediately know i'm trying to modify it, and it would crash the game in response.
You can use TSearch to get loads of money. Then go to the topic called "Cheats" and see how to set godmode. Practically that is way enough to play the game.
That page is only for unlimited members... I've managed to get unlimited ammo and money for the time being. Can't figure out the XP or level aspect. It also doesn't help that the game crashes constantly when I minimize it.

You could use windowed mode for that problem
:facepalmsself: why didn't I think of that hahahaha.
Then i try steam trainer and when i press F1 it said "Trainer is activated" But none of the actual trainer option work! I press 1 to give me unlimited health but i still die, armor doesnt work either. So basically nothing works.
In addition, it give me the CTD!! Here is what the error looks like: img12.imageshack.us/img12/6203/60461131.jpg
How to fix this? =======
Just wanna repeat again "I NEVER DOWNLOAD RELOADED VERSION SO PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT I USE THE WRONG EXE!"

Worked perfectly man. for letting us know.
This method is a lot easier than using Tsearch or things like that. Well at least for the stats and what not. It doesn't seem to talk well to when I edit the talent/attributes whatever you wanna call them.
