Can some one explain to me why....none of the trainers work with any games now. Before 2 months ago both of my games used to work and i had a blast playing Company of Heroes Tales of Valor and DOW2 but now even without antivirus and antispyware soft, nothing works.

Thats weird. I have no problems with those trainers at all and I'm using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

    Sorry I can't help...

You're not giving enough information. "Dont Work" doesn't tell us anything. You prob have some software or OS permissions that are interfering with them.

If you're using Norton AV / Internet Security 2010 with it's SONAR engine it'll probably block CH trainers, that happened to me on my comp a while ago. Best solution is to simply turn SONAR off, as it's a little too aggressive.

Heuristics (espc. the most aggressive ones) rarely help much, as definitions are updated on a very frequent basis anyway, and heuristics tend to block basically everything that's just a tad suspicious. (Often including not-so-legal components of games/applications - cracks, keygen, trainers and that sort of stuff.)

I suspect other AV's heuristics engines may also do the same thing, so it's a good thing to check.

As far as not working I can shed a little light on the subject. I am having issues with Steam and the DoW 2 1.9 trainer. I start the trainer, then the game, then activate the trainer only to have it constantly activate and then deactivate while still on the main menu. I had the same issue with the 1.8 trainer and have yet to find any solution to this problem. If anyone can shed some light on a possible solution please let us know.

*Ehrm* Think I found out what my issue was, if anyone else cares to try by all means let me know. I finally decided to let windows updater take over and update my XP, which afterwords made it so the trainer would finally work with DoW 2. The only downside is that I'm having issues with my Borderlands trainer, which I hope can be remedied by a re-download of the trainer. So sorry to bug anyone for user-error!

Dude what did you have to update?
My XP is doing it now and I sure it is a simple fix.
    What had to be updated?

Tried out. Updating windows xp didn´t work out for me. Even disinstalling the antivir software didn´t do the trick. Ctd few seconds after activation.

Older trainer versions (company of heroes/tales of valor f.e.) still doin´ the job.

As the one or the other member seemingly got the trainer to work without any issues, I don´t know how to solve this...

It works now...and I don´t know why...antivir software reinstalled without updating/ booted the pc afterwards/

So maybe it´s an antivirus-caused issue...but as I´m only a simple minded consumer it is only a guess...can´t prove this... 😵
