To get F1 to work in Steam so it doesn't crash, get the nodvd 1.3 fix. Copy across the grid.exe AND the rld.dll file or it won't work. Proceed as normal. I haven't tested every trainer option since the issue is to solve the F1 crash, but I will try more later or someone else can beat me to it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only using CH trainers to add fun to games already completed or for testing mods, etc.
I recently switched to win7 32bit and i get the same problem so i tend to believe the problem is not from me but from the trainer. I don't think they will try fix it, the game is rather old and it looks like only a few of us have this problem. The game isn't that hard anyway but i bet it would be nicer with that drift points and the improvements you can do to the car while racing.
The 1.3 Mega Trainer functions work, but the game crashes 24/7, no way to complete at least 1 race... And to make clear, I tried only in SINGLE PLAYER mode, not online.
I contacted Chris ORoke, and take a look in the final answer (nice support):
"Trainer works fine. Something on your end is interfering with it."
- No anti virus, DEP disabled, no 3rd part softwares like fraps, etc, in fact, everything was disabled in the several tests I did, still, the game keeps crashing. Tried all compatibility modes, even that I dindt face compatibility problems...
I bought the UNL account yesterday, specially for GRID, and got this... No way I will spent $65 for this, if not resolved I will get refund by paypal.
