which one did you use? Retail, Patch #1 or Patch #2?

Works for me ok...got the game through D2D and uses steam to launch the game. I use the patch 2

Please point me to this non-Steam version of the game. I have bought this game on DVD twice now and been unable to install because of Steam. Steam wants me to download the game even though I bought the install DVD.

I will not buy through a download service (Steam or otherwise), as I pay $80 USD for a mere 16GB of transfer per month (no alternative) and this would be nearly a third of that. But from the looks of the previous post, the D2D version of the game still requires Steam anyway (and the other hassles that come with it, such as demanding to be installed on the main drive).

I am aware that there is a pirate copy in distribution with the Steam installer and launcher removed (if I were going to download any version), but that wouldn't be able to access downloadable content or apply patches.

So, please, if you know of a Steam-free version besides the pirated version, tell me where I can buy it. I'd even import if it's UK/EU only or something.

the gamersgate version has no steam in it.
which sucks, because i take gg over steam any day, and can't use most of the ch trainers..

I just bought it on STEAM for $29.99 US. Would love a STEAM trainer for this one too.

Its quite annoying this trainer doesnt work for Steam. anyone got any ideas for anything outside of CH?

well I just bougth the game today in a special offer. it uses steam plattform.

it doesn't work with me besides God mode. Other stuff like Mission Timer freeze or Money doesn't work at all. Besides thet rainer tends to crash the game most of the time.
