Often the scopes have range designators on them, so if there's like a little line with a 2 next to it, that means that's the point of impact at 200 meters, etc.

i agree mate the only thing you can do is raise your scope a little and see if it works or lower it, thats what i do but ofcourse it means i will use several shots for each kill its not acceptable.
or you can do this wich is the best solution if you ask me, use your binoculars check how many meters and then snipe him.
your scope has something like this, if hes 500 meters away you use the line between 4 and 6 to get a acurate hit, it doesnt work everytime need to practice.
