i reckon they could have done alot better it was alot better than the ones before but. The fact that i cant jump over a 2 foot guard rail making me go halfway across the map to get attacked by a supermutant ****roach the weapons had way too much recoil not enough RPM the mp5 was like a spas15. The ai was terrible they can drive trucks and motorcycles but walk then run then walk at you that makes no sense. the graphics were ok but those cave walls and the refinery was i looking at a windows 98 game. The story was a bit weird how come whenever a slight chance a breakout might occour or has happend they send 2 very unequipped agents and now 2 times they put chris with the hottest chick they have and he guts nothing if i was him id tap that in a second. Overall the game was a very boring slow repeditive unrealistic mess of a popular series its like halo 3 all over again 7/10
yea..they could've done a lot better. but it certainly is the best RE till date. although i wonder as well..y can't the character jump or climb over a 2 foot guardrail..when he's supposed to be special forces or something. i have played it once...that's about it. don't feel like playing it again. 7/10 is quite generous.

Like thisante dies with one little sword in the game in hard difficulties but in the movie sequences vergil couldn't!

RE5 is the best graphical game that I've played in my life so far. Capcom has used multi-core/hyper-threading technology to it's fullest potential.
I have to agree, this serie is monotonous. I guess I'm spoiled from the last sequence and in this showcase there is no thrill effect for me.
Anyone who is playing RE the first time, will be totally blown away!
P.S. 8.9/10, intense action all over again!!!!

finished it. lovely game. loved it. some very challenging moments but it was awesome.
Playing it...Best RE game till now, Cutscenes are gory and highly detailed.
Only if they had allowed jumping anywhere...
Most definately NOT the best Resident Evil. This Las Plagas can't provide for a proper settings as the T-Virus did.
First, in rural Spain, now in rural Africa...
Survival Horror used to be the main genre; now it's Action. It doesn't work the same magic.
I can't tell which Resident Evil is the best, I've only played from 3 onward, but I know Resident Evil 3 was much more gripping than the 2 sequels since. They made them well, no question about that. The execution is good, the problem lies in the idea. If they'd stayed faithful to the original style, these sequels could only have been better than as they are.

I'm about 3 seconds away from deleting this horribly annoying game.
another game that punishes me for not being able to hit X in .25 seconds while I thought I was watching a cutscene.. Or the mutant roaches that sit there and take 9000 bullets and do me in with one hit (thanks partner for covering me).
I'm at the end level. I cannot complete it. I have unlimited ammo and god mode and rockets and even if we manage to get him to actually catch the rocket (he usually just dodges) then by the time I shoot him and get over to him he's just fine. Managed to restrain him once but then sheva was clear on the other side and couldn't get to him.
but overall it has just been a really annoying experience. I tried to enjoy the game without cheats but I was constantly running out of ammo / money.
And holy cow the enemies take a lot of damage. Unless you give Sheva the mag pistol (and only the mag pistol).
anyway - angry at the game and just needed to rant. Probably would have broken my controller by now without the lovely trainer from these guys.
Oh my. Well that's the beauty of the game I guess. It's challenging. A lot of strategy and tactics come in handy and if you have none of it, then you're going to find yourself struggling throughout the course of the game.

Where's the strategy/tactic in getting him NOT to dodge the 200 rockets I'm shooting at him?
What strategy do I employ to prevent him from zipping across the map 200 feet when I shoot the rocket in his hand when he actually does catch it? (Thus preventing me from getting close enough to inject him?)
I did get past this fight. with blind luck. I have no idea how I did it and am sure I could not repeat it. He didn't catch the rocket, I just happened to mash the button at the right moment when he was near me.
Then we get back to "mash all the buttons while watching a scene". The tactic being I'm apparently too old to react in under a second to the right button.
Then I died later when fighting him - wasn't even given an opportunity to dodge. Thrown off into the volcano.
Oh well, guess I won't be saving the world today after all, because I really don't want to spend another 5 minutes going through all the button mashing to get the rock pushed over again.
