Whenever I run the trainer and use any of the options the game freezes.
Using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (build 7600), Spore GA 1.5.0001
Actually, it doesn't immediatly freeze, but the options don't work and it freezes whenever I change scene (I.E. When I enter/leave orbit or zoom in/out of the solar system view.)
Is there an update to address this? Or some other method of getting round it?
I have tried the compatibility options, and running as admin. Neither seem to make any odds.
I am getting the same problem, running 32-bit Ultimate. It's probably because of the nature of the OS itself... ie, it's still practically a test version.

Well, at least that shows it's not purely an x64 problem then. Hopefully it's something that only affects this paticular trainer, otherwise we'll be having many more problems like this soon!

Ditto crash on scene change using 1.5.0001 trainer with Win 7 Pro (32bit, V6.1 Build 7600).
Exact same problem here, also running win 7 ultimate x64, and game seems to load fine but then crashes on scene change.. regular spore trainer works perfect, but ga trainer crashes every time.. hope this gets addressed sooner rather than later..

i'm getting the same problem as Sabranan...
but the difference is: I'M NOT USING ANY TRAINER...
my windows is Win7 Ultimate x86 (32-bits)...
even if I run the game in compatibility mode, the problem happens. the game crashes when I go into any solar system...
like all my games are original SPORE, I came in contact with EA Games, but they do not know why this crash happened...
