Need for Speed: Shift Message Board  

Allright when i play Shift my game crashes all the time, when i play on tracks, any idea how i could fix this?
I got the game from some of my friends at a LAN.

🤔 ahhhhm, do you have the newest drivers for your hardware?- sure?

Did you tried lower graficsettings?

Wich OS are you using?- Tried compatibilitymodes as "WINDOWS NT SP4" - that works for me on OS WIN XP PRO SP3 32bit.

Are you using FRAPS in the backround?- IF yes, then wich version?

Are you using X-FIRE in the backround and there you have enabled "ingame chat" or the recording options?

And then, pls tell us more details about your Hardware/-and Settings/-Tools.

I'm not sure my graphic drivers are updated to the newest version i'm doing this Asap.

Yes i have read the other Shift problem thread, and i don't get the black thing in screen just crash.

did u check to see if there is a patch update, so maybe that might help with your game from crashing?

did you get the real game from some friend at lan ore pirate?
you use crack? maybe that is what makes all the crashes.

As i'm sure i wrote, it works perfect for him.

Hey.... I'm having the same problem. I was experiencing a lot of lag in racing, so I turned the graphics down, and since I restarted the game (as I was told to in order to apply changes), I cannot start on any tracks. The game crashes on loading of a track. Sometimes the camera only makes it to the ****pit, other times, i can start, but soon after the green light, the game crashes.

Intel Core 2Duo 2.40 ghz
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT - 256MB Dedicated Memory


O... and I bought the game legitimately at an area Gamestop.

All these posts and what fixes this error for most people (it worked for me) is you have to disable the shadows, dunno if it will work with you guys though.
