Need for Speed: Shift Message Board  

Hey,anyone saw black spots while racing in SHIFT?
They are appearing on AI cars and sometimes on my own car,it is very annoying because i cant see the road because the black spots are blocking my view!
And i am also noticing some grass on the road starting line ?

AH,help me with the black annoying spots.

At first I need more informations about your hardware and then the settings of your grafic options in the game.

It could be, that you got some bad settings for you GC under Windows...?? But, we will see!

Ok,i got a screenshot or it and i will upload it later.The graphic setting for it is all Medium except the Texture or something i run it on high and i have the ATI HD4850. I am running it on 1024x768

Ok,problem resolved, I updated my ATI driver and it is all done!

Try Updating your driver card...!!!

I have ATI 4870 X2 in my machine and I have problems similar to what you have mentioned in various games. If you go into your ati control panel settings and go to the catalyst AI settings in the 3D section and put a tick in the disable catalyst AI check box, I have done that with a few games which were crashing and resetting my machine like NFSS and resident evil 5, they play like a dream now not a single problem, smooth as a babies butt. Give it a try it may help. Good luck

Yeah I had the same isssue. Did some searching on NFS Shift blogs and found this fix - change your compatibilty mode in properties to windows 98 & apply. Worked for me :-)
