I hear some good things about the game but mainly what I think is that its no different from halo 3. If I wanted to right now I could go to the nearest GameStop and buy it in a heartbeat. Worth the money?

    No...

Are you out of your mind? Have you lost all sanity?

Halo 3: ODST is worth $60 for the campaign alone! Not to mention Firefight and the three new maps.

Yes it is in my opinion, there are flaws but they are minor and don't interfere with game play. Fire-Fight is one of the best modes and the campaign is stunning. For $60 this game had to be one of the best. Also the game includes the H3 multiplayer disc (with three new maps) this disc has forge and multiplayer on it. If you compare H3 to the H3MP disc the graphics are also way better.

Secondly on being like Halo 3. There are similarities and there are differences. A few are:

You carry less ammo in campaign (not bad considering all you have to do is grad a carbine/beam rifle and a plasma rifle and your set.

You can carry 3 of each grenade instead of 2.

Firebomb grenades appear more in campaign.

You have a lot more of a "free-roam" effect opposed to an on tracks.

Those are jsut some of the differences good and bad and there are alot more good than bad ones I can tell you that.

So all in all the game on my ratings is a 10/10.

Personally I think they should have made this an expansion to download instead of a game, but you do you get all of the multiplayer maps for halo 3, and an invite to the Halo: Reach BETA. It just depends on how much you love Halo.

Agreed. If you already have halo 3, then you don't have too much reason to buy it.

    I agree.

People that play on LIVE already have all but 3 of the maps that come with ODST, so they're paying for a lot of maps they already paid for.

It really does all come down to how big of a Halo fan you are. Personally I'm getting the game regardless of ratings or value for money, the main reason being the campaign. I also like the idea of Firefight, but that's just a bonus for me. I'll likely play through the game on every difficulty level giving me 4 times the normal playing hours on offline alone, that added to several hours of Firefight and the time to get as many achievements as possible is worth my $100.

I don't want a big car, particularly. I have no need for acreage, and I don't like the fuel bills. But I don't want a small one because they're all like supermarket own-brand cola: weedy imitations of the real thing - Jeremy Clarkson
