Red Faction: Guerrilla Message Board  

I have issues with loading because as it loads it constantly freezes then unfreezes and takes forever and after playing the game a while it would just freeze out of no where it also hangs when activating a mission i have a nvidia 8800 gts i heard there have been problems with red faction games in the past with this card anyone have a solution?

If you want some performance boost, try turning off ambient occlusion. This should remove some lag. You might also try disabling sun shafts.

I have tried that i have also tried disabling everything and running on lowest setting and the game runs perfectly fine just loading that it lags on.

Uninstall some stuff from you PC...Use an antivirus that consumes less RAM.

And don't tinker around X-Live, it brings freezes most of the times.

And use a program called CacheBoost - Its effective and it cleanse up the Cache from useless junk.

It is a known problem. Hopefully they will fix it. In the mean time, run the game in a Window (ALT-ENTER)... that solves the problem.

known problem? i dont get this problem at all in full screen 1680x1050 mode...

I didn't say it happens for everyone... I said it was a known problem.
