Batman: Arkham Asylum Message Board  

I was playing the game, then while attempting to rescue a doctor from 6 criminals, the game begins to lag dramatically.
Then all of the textures change, and all I'm left with is batman's cape walking around and his shadow - along with a very laggy game.
Tried to start a new game, but that didn't fix the issue either.
Can anyone help?
I'm at a loss...

Close game, start game, load checkpoint, fixed.

Personally I killed the ambient occlusion in the graphics settings, and I didn't have any issues since... but I'm not sure if it would work for you too.

I turned off the computer, which made me restart from the checkpoint when I started the game again.
