Has anyone had any issues with the grapple not working in places it is suppose to?

This usually happens after I use the claw and remove a grate. Normally on most grates you can then grapple to them but in a lot of cases it shows I cannot grapple. Sometimes if I reload the checkpoint the grapple point will show up but now on the second encounter with Scarecrow there is a point you need to use the grapple to get up to a level, it will not allow me to grapple at all. No matter how many times I reload the checkpoint.

If anyone has a save just past this level, I would appreciate it.

First of all I don't mind how people acquire their games but there are some issues with this current "release" that you are probably using (Seeing as the real retail version isn't out until the 15th this month in the US and 18th in the EU.)

Secondly it's a older build so certain functionality like PhysX isn't properly implemented, it's possible this was a test release from Direct2Drive (Where it leaked from.) or some early beta for whatever reason it was available on that site I don't know, secondly there are numerous protection triggers remaining depending on what "workaround" you use to play, either glide won't work or the game will crash or you'll get a disabled grappling hook at various random sections of the game where you need to use it to progress further, there's a number of suggested workarounds but no 100% complete solution so for now not much can be done if you use this release, if you are still set on downloading the game better wait for the real retail release but be aware it might use similar triggers as they are part of SecuROM's functionality and have been used in other titles as well.
(Using the existing "workaround" will probably trigger the same grappling bug albeit other issues in this early version like PhysX are probably corrected.)

Not much else I can say, there's a number of suggested odd methods like replacing part of the game with the demo files (Which are several weeks more recent once again hinting at this being a early build.) or lowering the games gravity via the Documents and Settings / User folder INI settings files and trying to "float" to the various grappling areas instead which is a bit cumbersome.

I'm sure it'll be properly cracked eventually just like everything (Again I'm not going to preach or whine about how you should buy releases, it's up to you what to do just be aware that it might not work 100% correctly at the moment.) so at the moment this current release has a few issues if you are still set on using it.

Hope this explains it properly without being confusing or something.
(Sorry for bending the rules a bit and talking about piracy and such references but there's no other way to explain this and nothing is linked to so it should be somewhat OK as just a explanation.)

EDIT: First of all followed by first of all? heh, sorry edited to "secondly".

    thanks..but whereZ the save folder???????

    'Documents Folder'\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\SaveData\'Here'\

Where 'Documents Folder' depends on your Windows version. Under Windows XP this will be 'My Documents' and under Vista/7 it will be 'Documents'.

The 'Here' folder will most likely be a string of zeros (but may change depending on live profile), and this is where you need to place the actual .sgd save file.
