Cigarette tax went up yesterday, adding another $15 per carton to the cost. I think the total cigarette tax is like $2.70 a pack...
Folks from up north can't go to a state with significantly lower taxes, they're banding together and handing me craploads of money. Me and two friends are driving down to Illinois, where cigarette tax is only 75 cents on a pack, to buy cheap smokes and then we're meeting everyone from up north for lunch and an exchange of goods.

What about the fuel expenses you make till you get there?
Illinois is only 30 miles from my house, so 60 round trip. That's like 1.8 gallons of gas....um, they can buy me a beer to make up for it.
