I tried the 'promo' trainer, and it worked just fine. So I splashed the 6 bucks to get the one trainer deal, and the real deal is nothing but. Upon pressing the 'F1' key my popularity goes to 0% and at 2am the following day the game freezes.

I am running x64 Vista Ultimate, and I have already turned off all the security annoyances. I also changed the permissions and owner of the GPS folder so Windows will have no problem with other programs changing them. Still no go. The trainer is clearly broken as it seems by looking at this forum, I am not the only one with this problem.

Figures, the first time I ever shell out money to buy a trainer, it doesnt work. All the free ones I have used in the past worked fine. If you want to charge for your work, back it up and follow through.

Got the same problem .. even if I don't activate any of the options, but just press F1 at the Main Menu to activate the trainer, then after a few days the game freeze.

I have tryed to chance some of the options for the trainer and the game it self("run as admin", win xp compatible etc).

I'm running Win 7, but I don't think it can make the game freeze.
