    Because Empire's bugs were, most of them, surrounding the passing of turns.

    well acctually, the errors regarding the turns were the Steam client's fault..

    Not to mention the first day's chaos concerning the online play, wich was Steam again..

    So every majore fault in Empire Total War were caused(or made worse) by Steam...
