Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Vikings discovered America? And Columbus discovered the Carribbean.

I'm also told that opinion is much divided on the subject. (waits for Dhampy)

I just got back from Gamer...it was okay, I would recommend waiting it to hit DvD. I also fence hopped to watch D9...again. SOOOO GOOOOD

Columbus thought he had traveled around the globe and that the Americas were India. So he called the the natives "Indians." (the Caribbean are a part of the Americas btw, central America)

It didn't have anything to with who discovered what first.
