18 patch and trainer crash on Need for Speed: Undercover PC Message Board - Page 2

Hi, i just bought this game and upgraded it with the .18 patch, but now, when i press F1 to activate

I have crashes sometimes, but usually if I start a cheat then go through the menus instead of right to driving. I have the D2D version too, btw.

Make sure you have started the game, you are driving...then you pause and hit F1 at THAT POINT IN THE GAME. Then try just numbpad 4 (nitro) and make sure to just go back to driving.

Also, something I had to do with this game is close everything I could. Anything and everything you can. Make sure also that you tweak the game for crashes...

Go to dxdiag and turn down audio acceleration. And turn the audio in the game to low or whatever.

I just leave it, and hardly notice any effect during any other games. Just emulators have messed up sound more.

Really crappy programming by BB. But it's worth it to enjoy the game.

I have been getting the same problem
As soon as I press F1, the game crashes.
BTW I think the trainers don't work well with 64bit OS's....will try another game and see..

EA has released a fixed version of patch ...18 a few weeks after the first release!

So there are two versions of every patch 1.0.1.18.

For example:

May.07.09 - Patch 1.0.1.18 fr/ger/ita (39,4mb)
May.20.09 - Patch 1.0.1.18 fr/ger/ita (41,3mb)

Thats why the trainer dosn't work for many people,
i mean ...
