I have reached the part in the main quest where you go find a man at falaise de fleur and he tells you about the undead pirates. but when i went there the black pearl was there and it said on the radar thing that the black pearl was a friendly ship. What confused me was the fort attacked my ship, so i had to blow it up. how a i supposed to complete that quest if every time i go in i'm chopped to peices by the guards and the fort's a pile of rubble?!

Go to the other side of the island and then land. You can go through the back of the town into the village. His house is located in the area right before the docks.

Or go to the pirates Island first. Talk to the diplomat in the Tavern there and pay him to make peace with France. That should also do it, just make sure you have some money

sail NE and if its not there land on every island until you come to a beach with to pirates
