Yeah, Fallout 3 is pretty boring after awhile. It took less than 8 hours to finish the main quest and after that there really was no reason to play the game anymore. The wasteland is just too scripted and it makes adventuring boring - especially the second time playing it. The game world needs to feel alive with dynamic npcs that think and act for themselves - not scripted encounters. Fallout 3 feels like the game world revolves around the player too much also. That makes all the npcs you find in places like Megaton feel very artificial and fake. They are just there to cater to you and have no life of their own. It was a cool game at first, but once you're done with it - you're done with it.

If they make another Fallout game they need to make sure that the game world is not scripted so the world doesn't feel like it revolves around the player so much. Also, I think they should drop the whole "main quest" idea and just create tons of good quality mini-quests instead. That way the game never ends and it's just about developing your character and obtaining newer and better equipment.

I bought this for 20 bucks and no game in my mind is worth more in value.
Playing it for a couple days now.
The game has the same engine that was used in Hitman: Blood Money (?) and Aurora 2007 which first appeared in The Witcher.
My impressions so far are good. The game details are stunning, sound effects are spot on (5.1 surround sound enabled) and programming has a little tweaking to do but it's almost flawless.
The 3rd person view system need's work. I don't know what Bethesda was thinking here.
The storyline is interesting and it will be compiled at the end which I'm looking forward. In terms of concept, it is an original script.
P.S. I took me 2 hours to setup the graphics on an SLI system

Wheras coming onto a forum for a game and then classing it as lame as the OP did is 'M' for Moronic.

I FINALLY finished the whole GOTY version about a fortnight ago and ended up having total gameplay of somewhere arounf 800 HOURS !
