    C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Ubisoft\Anno1404\data\config\game

i found my assets.xml file in here but there are alot of repetitions of "max peasants" so which one do i change?

[Edited by fusioniz, 8/17/2009 8:47:36 PM]

I don't think that is the right file.

you should have data\config\game\assets.xml in your installation folder.
    My path is like this:
    E:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Related Designs\Anno 1404\data\config\game\assets.xml

and to edit how many people live in one house you have to look for < MaxResidentCount >

[Edited by takumieoe, 8/18/2009 5:35:07 AM]

there are alot of lines that has this < MaxResidentCount >

and the number in the middle are different

yes, there is one for each level of civilisation

there is one for peasants, one for citizens, one for patricians, one for noblemen, one for nomads and one for envoys (ambassadors as they are called in assets.xml)

and the numbers are different because that every civ level has a different amount of people that can live in one house

Does anybody know how to speed up the time between quests from the emperor and sultan, cause i have to achieve 5 quests but it takes ages ?

And if i see that in the Imperator scenario i have to do 15 quests then it could take months

Oddly enough the imperator quest finished quite quick, i had a steady stream of quests. With the other one, i had 1 sultan quest, then after 4 hours of actual time, ive yet to get another quest. I think it must be completly random. Im on the verge of restarting the scenario to see if the quests coem faster or not.

15 quests isn't that much, you just hope they ask you to do an extensive quest :P

but I haven't found a line for that yet, I did find out how to increase the amount of corsair ships and how to decrease the corsair ransom interval, but the corsair gets really annoying when he pops up every 30 seconds asking for money 😵
I set the interval too low

I changed those lines to get the corsair achievements more easily

this is what i did.first i changed all of them < MinResidentCount >400 < MaxResidentCount >401 also changed < MaxResidentCount > 1000000 the one without minimum is beggars, if you change
this to 1 mill you will be able to have one beggars house with
    1 mill in it.

Also when 400 and 401 the build stages advances very fast almost instant, but so does all the needs for each kind, the hardest is patricians and noblemens but if your a fast builder they will not move out, even if they do it still only takes 1 to get back to where you were, so its a win/win situation.

also if you play scenarios all AI players will give up because you build to fast, its an easy but boring way to get rid of the AI.

im experimenting with these values, however isnt the game based on the number of "people" you have? So if you go changing the min and max values of each home type, wouldnt you have to find a way to increase the production of items such as food, and other extras to keep up with the new demand?

ill do some testing and see if its pure chaos or not

edit: omg! definatly to modify the main production facilities speed if you up the population counts of each home. Fish, cider etc all of em. Sure does look cool though, hundreds of people running around on your island. Its real easy to make income too heh.
