i want to enter my Luxray in a cool contest, and i was wondering what moves would best be used. the moves should also be good for battling as well. the moves she knows now are Bite, Charge, Thunder Fang, and Spark. if any moves need to be changed for this cool contest, let me know.

Replace bite with thunderbolt. Replacing thunder fang with thunder might not be a bad idea either.

thanks, but i don't want my Luxray to be just Electric typed, either, she needs a variety of moves; sure they're good out on battle, but would it be good enough for contests???

You can't really have a pokemon that's good in both contests and battles. Besides, you can always just go to a move tutor and get its old moves back.

true, true. but i suck at the Visual part in a contest, i wasn't too worried about the Dance or the other one. it's the Visual i suck at...i have the Platinum book, w/ the charts and everything, but i'm also wanting to get the Master Rank in Pearl w/ my female Dragonair, she knows Dragon Rage, Draco Meteor, and two other Dragon/Cool moves. i can't seem to beat Beauty Ultra Rank w/ my Rapidash, either.

The visual isn't too important if you do well in the other fields. Besides, if you keep practicing then eventually you'll ace it.

actually, i've been doing good w/ the Rapidash in Visual, it's my Dragonair i'm worried about.

A good way also is to feed them Pokeblocks.
