    Hey everybody,

Whenever I play the game (Soviet Assault 1.0.1.0 version), it goes great even in the highest settings but after a while the game freezes for a minute or so and when it comes back, the graphics are all screwed up. I used to have this problem with Fallout but that's because I was running it on the highest settings, lowering them fixed it.

I set the grahpics in WiC on the lowest possible though but it freezes, mess up graphics and if I don't quit, eventually crashes the computer. I don't use Godmode.

I run on an Nvidia G-Force 9800GT videocard, 4Gigs ram and an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 CPU @ 2.8Ghz. Windows XP. That's not too bad is it? I've heard people running it on ****tier systems.

Somebody told me I might need a more powerful powersupply unit, like 650W. Now I have a 580W unit installed into my machine.

If somebody knows anything I'd be extremely appreciative because the game by itself kicks ass.
If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much.

However told you that don't know squat (no offense) . The problem is probably with your drivers try updating all of you them to the limit and then run the game.

    Start with your Nvidia Driver.
    For Macaragge.

I did, the Nvidia driver has been updated to the latest. An hour ago the game crashed, telling me the "nv4_disp" driver was no longer functioning properly.

Well do the other games function well with that card?

Cause I think there is a problem in your drivers. Uninstall them and reinstall.

There are 10 more solutions to this, but I can't tell unless you provide me with your system specs.
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

All the other games run super, Fallout, Anno 1404, Flight Simulator. No problems at all, it's just this game.

I've mentioned some specs in my initial post, what else would you like to know?

    Uninstall,restart, run "Driver Sweeper(free)" "www.downloads.guru3d.com/downloadget.php?id=1655&file=4&evp=c14f9f3787877eef9ef4b235b9146e96" (remove "" ) , restart, install 190.38 and restart again.

Your card is plenty to run the game, and your power supply should be sufficient as well.

I see the rest of your specs as well, you should not have any performance issues.

Actually after reading your post a third time(all of it this time) It sounds like your 9800GT could be overheating, or need underclocked. Get EVGA Precision, it will allow you to raise your fan speed on the card, and underclock it if necessary

www.evga.com/precision/ <--EVGA Precision (registering with the site is needed to download, however your card does not need to be EVGA to get it or for it to work.)

Wow, I find this forum software mildly irritating at best, it doesn't like links at all.
