Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Message Board  

OK, I found the lines in the balance.txt file that control how much it costs to trade runes. Look for these lines:

SwapRune_One = 125000,
SwapRune_Two = 25000,
SwapRune_Three = 5000,
SwapRune_Four = 500,

and then just change the values to whatever you want. I set SwapRune_One to 5 and now it only costs 5 gold to swap one rune for another. I don't know if this had been posted yet. I looked but didn't see it, but it comes in pretty handy, especially at the beginning of the game.
