the hotkey cheats listed do not work as "cheats" in the steam version of the game, atleast not on the mission "remnants of the past" - the hotkeys can still be used to select what type of building to place or to auto place buildings, just not ones that you wouldn't normally be able to place

for those who dont know, to assign a hotkey while in game just hold down the number and click the building type (i didn't even know there were hotkeys until i saw the cheats here)

i've not tried the steam version. Are you sure you are using shift+#? also, i think the 0-9 might need to be single digit.

yup....very sure im using the shift *grin* i auto place buildings all the time, the game just wont auto place buildings that havn't been researched or can't be placed in a colony (cause its too low of tier)

Nah even in retail it wont go out of tier, but unresearched works good, maybe they patched it.
