Is anyone having trouble having their Sim keeping the money? I make my Sim, give him the money and when I try to move him out he's back to 16,000 Simoleons.

When you move someone out of your family the money sticks with the family not with the Sim moving out.

You will have to move him into a cheap lot and use the cheat when his "new" family is fixed.
