Empire: Total War Message Board  

Hi m8tal, thanks for the suggestion. Sadly it still does not work here. Hear voices saying activated etc: but nothing works yet. BTW I am a very experienced PC user, 28 years +, and have tried many things to get it to work. Are the trainers specific to build numbers EG: "Version 1.2 BUILD xxxx.xxxx" Mine is the boxed retail version.

It makes no difference if keys are mapped or not. Numpad 2 for example moves the campaign map down and yet still activates unlimited movement at the same time. Each trainer is made for a certain patch number. Unless you turn off automatic updates for empire in steam, you could be using a trainer for the wrong patch. In steam, my games, right click Empire Total War -> properties -> updates tab -> View Empire: Total War update history and it shows the dates of what updates were downloaded. Starting with 10 March, was the first patch. Lets you know what patch you are on.

I have the same problem. Trainer crashes game and trainer doesn't work. Patches are directly the same.

The trainer for the version of the game I have is fine. It works. But the problem is when I save the game and then try to load it, it gets about a 1/4 through on the loading bar and then crashes to desktop.

Any reasons why this happens? Any fixes for it? None of the ones I've tried early on in this thread work.

thats one of the old problems with the game. before all the patches the game had and still does have many bugs such as CTD's not being able to finish campaigns b/c of crashes midway through the game, stuff liek that. im sorry to say, but if you dont want that stuff to happen, you are going to have to let the game update. the newest version is pretty stable, though you will lose the ability to play your old saves once you do patch up(they fail to mention that sometimes).

First u open up the trainer, then the game, start campaign, when it has started, THEN press F1, and the cheats u want,!!!!!!!!

doesnt happend to the latest version of ETW on steam with the latest trainer.. works for me

Same problem, campaign crashes after using the trainer, sometimes ist even crashes before the campaign loaded. Used the right trainer and also tried it without admin rights, nothing helped
