fyi you can impregnate ghosts and as far as i know they dont die. they just get older and thats it but who wants old people right? a little hint for those of you who havent discovered it yet (i submitted it to ch but they are kinda slow): with testingcheatsenabled set to true, you can not only shift-click on your mailbox, but also on your sim. that way you can set his traits and trigger age transition. anyway have any of you discovered something else besides ghosts? like werewolfs or aliens? been staring my eyes out through the telescope but nothing ever happens...
Always only one 'unusual' creature per game/expansion. So we just have ghosts, no aliens (yet). Although I have a Gigantic Space Rock (2x3) that crashed in my neighbors yard. I have it on display in the vault, next to my metals, gems, butterflies and beetles. Unfortunately, I'm missing one gem and one beetle.
Can't wait for my CE to get in. A whole new neighborhood to play with, and a strat guide to strip of all useful information.
Thanks a bunch for the info everyone. I just wanted to say that I was also able to catch deathfish with the alley catfish, but when I tried to collect the life fruit, all I managed to receive from 20-30 random rare/special seeds, was fire fruit/some chili peppers(dont have the game open so I can't verify the name) and onions.
I don't suppose anyone can post their saved game with a few life fruit plants could they; something similar to what rcboothman did with his underground home?
I think they're special seeds. You could also take the restaurant challenge, which will allow you to grow all vegetables, steaks and burgers, cheese and eggs, and the infamous omni plant (I can order omni seeds by mail now).
Also, all it takes is one life fruit, and before you know it, you'll have a garden filled with 'm. I have about 32 life fruits, and my first omni is hatching now. I'm gonna feed it some life fruits, and see what happens.
