Even though I knew this girl since 6th grade in january when we fist started dating I did have to tread lightly or I would end up stepping on the mine that just so happen to be in plain sight.

Most relationships are a waste of time to me tbh. I see practically all relationships around me with people in them who a lot of the time aren't enjoying themselves, and I often hear people say "There are bound to be rough patches and fights" etc.
I think that if you are fighting often, it's not worth staying together for! If you are unhappy, why be in a relationship? The only reason I can think of to be in a relationship would be to make both of you happy, therefore, if you are unhappy, you're just wasting both of your time.
