Playing as Ireland crashes the game.

Not with the "play as emergent factions" mod at TWcenter.

Ireland has no starting regions in the GC so not playable. Although I enjoyed beating Britain in a custom battle.

I played for a few hours as Ireland without any problems. That person just sucks if he doesn't know not to click randomly spawning objects.

Whatever, no need for hostility. The 2 links I included were meant to suggest there was another mod I didn't know about that allowed the playing of emergent factions.

Britain is always my first choice. They have a great navy and have great infantry. Being starting on a island is makes it great to defend it. Expecially when you got a superior navy.

Britain in Americas is too spread out but as a Canadian I like to pretend the British in Americas are all Canadians . It's too bad the game diddn't add Canadian Militia as a recruitable unit for the British in America. I would also have liked the United States to have been in the Grand Campaign. Either started already seperate or can revolt into that automaticly by a specific time period (and you can choose between the British or the states).

Sucks that they are only in that little mini-campaign. My next favorite nation is Sweden. Sweden has a good economic trade route with the control of the baltic sea. Once denmark territories are captured you have complete control over trade in the Baltic and not to mention that it's easier to defend that specif area as theres only one land route into Denmark and than Sweden. With Swedens territories kind of spread out and borderlines powerhouses like Russia and Poland who are allies with each other. That comes in really handy only having to really worry about those specific borders.

That one Indian Country is also ok as well. Without cheats is very difficult even on easy. As you are surounded by islamic countries who all hate you. Your enemy to the north starts out with a weak military thus there territories at the beginning are reletivly easy to take over however you expand too much and that MySore country will start attacking you. Battling between two different countries. One on your boundries and one right in the middle of your territores.

However once you got all that settled. India is pretty easy to capture and from there you secured the Indian trade routes. You can start expanding into the middle easy without much if any threat to your indian territories.
