No Darkish, paintball is not a sport. I don't care if you've spent hundreds of dollars on equipment and whatever and you are sore for a few days after playing and it hurts when you get hit and it is physically demanding and good exercise and sociable because I spent $1200 on Civil War reenacting equipment, you're sore for a few days after normal events and weeks after hardcore events, it hurts after firing three hundred rounds and marching fifty miles through scrubland, it's physically demanding and good exercise and the social network is extensive but it's not a sport.
Civil Ware reenactments are not sports...because you probably have a script...right. The South always loses...every time. How can you call it a sport if you know who is going to win. That's just silly.
Paintball is a sport.
Script? What script? 99% of reenactments are tacticals.

Tacticals are like wargaming with real people. You have objectives to take and objectives to hold. You don't know where your enemy is or what approach he will take to accomplishing his objectives.
The true test of fake-generalship and a way for fake-grunts to blow powder and get ****ed at the incompetence of people on horseback.
