Almost. After Opposing Force and Blue Shift, Valve almost abandoned the franchise.

When now I see you meant "going through the stand-alone expansion." The statement comes out completely different depending on how you interpret one simple word...weird

Uhh yeah I'd totally be suprised if Nintendo made another Mario game after galaxy. Where can he go next? The Universe?
They are going to milk that cow completely dry then beat it with a wooden stick, no way they drop the Halo franchise because something silly like the storyline ran out.
