8 exams, most of them pretty difficult. All done. What you on about?
I seriously hope Canadian high schools are more intensive than that, I don't want my brother getting a third-rate education there when we move in 2 years.
Intensity of exams has no bearing on quality of education. There is also no evidence to show that arduous exams promote retention of information--rather the evidence shows the opposite.
