I finished the game once and now I'm playing it again while trying not to use the money cheat that is part of CH's trainer. So of course I can only employ so many guards and not the maximum allowed by the game. What I have found so far is that it seems since I'm not using the most guards possible I need to use two made men instead of just one to defend a business/racket from attack. Has anyone else out there played without using the money cheat in the trainer and what has your experience been like???

I haven't used any cheats. I try to employ as many bodyguards as I can while still trying to make some extra money. Try to get the businesses that give you +x% income (I don't remember the exact number). That makes things easier but those are also the businesses that your rivals are gonna go for by either trying to take them over or bomb them.

I haven't played it in a while because I get BSOD, I'll try again to check out the correct business you need to take over.

Edit: ok I checked it out and you need to control all the Drugs Crime ring businesses. It'll give you double crime ring income. Make sure you use the maximum of guards there and whenever one of those places gets attacked send a defender or 2. If need be go take care of it yourself.

if you have the problem that you dont have enough money for the guards, just rob a bank,

a tip, bribe the cops then rob it, or just cut the power for the alarm

I didnt use the cheats at first ,i didnt have any problem ,but i thought i could use money to have more gaurds so that i dont need to defend them with so many made man but ,i used and i am having many gaurds as possible ,but still sending 3 made mans for defending !

First thanks for all the replies. I can't rob a bank right now because I am still in New York fighting Carmine Rosato and I don't have a Safecracker or Engineer working for me.

Second when I first played through the game using the money cheat I would employ the maximum amount fo guards and all I had to do was send one made man to defend a business when it was attacked. Now find since I am not employinf the full amount of guards I need at least two made men to defend something from attack.

Well,as i said i hired the maximum gaurds and still defending with 3 ! .just get an under boss and you can send the rest to anywhere you want .
