Hey Guys, fantastic job on all the "trainers" you make but I dont know if I have a small little problem, as I cannot see any other posts about it. Having a problem running any trainer in windows 7 beta 64bit. I decided to try it out, as its supposed to be better than vista and to be honest it looks it.....but, trainers wont work

Windows 7 is not a finished product, so do not expect any support until it reaches an RTM release. If we try to bend it to work for a beta Operating System and find out they change the coding so that it does not work with the RTM release it will be a lot of wasted time.
You are more than welcome to find out workarounds for the Beta and RC versions of Windows 7 yourself and share them though.
Your bitterness, I will dispel

I am trying....Honest, but the old "grey cells" dont work as good as they did 20yrs ago. Even though windows 7 is only a beta, COH-OF runs really sweet, I have everything maxed out for the first time(that could be cause the full 8gb of ram is being used for the first time) I will post any work arounds I can work out for the

Hmmm your previous OS was 32bit?
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Yes, I am dual booting between Vista 32bit and windows 7 64bit, though at the moment, windows 7 is offline only, do not have a firewall and antivirus for it, zonealarm does not work on it and I am not buying another just for a beta (like windows trys to get you to do, advertising antivirus makers who have a product that works with windows 7)

Im guessing you bought your RAM after initially having 32bit Vista, and didnt realise 32bit OS's only accept 3gig
Does AVG not work on Windows 7? If you have a router then you have a firewall already, if not there is always windows own firewall.

Dabhand.....would you feel safe with only windows firewall protecting you ?,. I have not tried AVG....when I went onto the AVG site, could not see the free antivirus on there....as I said, things dont work too well past 40
Had the ram when I built the system, so its been in there for six months now.....and Yes I knew I was only using 3.5gb of it (been itching to use the full whack)

You will see an option to get the basic free download among the paid ones. And its compatible with Windows 7
I would prefer a hardware firewall over any software firewall. A firewall just blocks ports, it doesnt stop virus's and trojan's thats what the AV is for
