i need help im trying to fight evrai before the wedding ive tried using slow when he uses haste but it doesent work and i could kill him if i could avoid his poison breath

The best characters for this fight are Tidus, Rikku and Auron.
Have Auron use Power Break and Mental Break as soon as possible.
Rikku is there for support, have her heal (you should have plenty of al'behd potions from the desert).
When Evera in-hails have Cid move the air ship away to avoid the attack. If Evera's turn comes before Cid's I suggest doing what you can to heal and then have your characters guard themselves, even without using the Sphere grid Auron .
Save your Overdrives and ship ammunition until Evera uses Haste.
If you have a Silver Hourglass have Rikku use it to cut Evera's speed once it uses Haste.

I think that the easiest way to kill evrae is to use rikkus overdrive and choose 1 underdog's secret and 1 lvl3 or lvl4 key sphere. it makes trio of 9 and you only need to know the language of al bhead. if you can speak it just talk to rin in the airship.

But that would mean the only quick way to defeat Evrae involves playing it the second time or using someone else's memory card and one of those sphere things that puts the primers from a different save onto your save...
