In the real world the most used planes are F-16 and F-15 in America, for Europ its MIG-29 and MIG-33.
In the game I heard that the most used are the MIG-33 and F-16,but the gamers that know what they are doing they use SU-37 and F-22.I play with them its very interesting playing the missions again with those two.Try if unlocked them.
The games aren`t real and that is a fact we have to accept.

I have been flying with the Norwegian F-16 guys for a while and they really are top notch guys. I have to raise the BS flag unfortunately though. Nothing yet has been able to shoot down an F-15 unless we intentionally make it a fair fight... and we never fight fair!

    Cheers!

Sorry but Europe doesn't use MIGs. Russia Uses migs and some other countries, but Europe no way. Europe mostly uses the obsolete F-104 Starfighter (Been switched for the F-16 (Here in Holland that is)). or uses the Eurofighter or some other planes, but Migs? No way.

Germany flys the Tornado and the Eurofighter. Norway uses the F-16 and I know Spain uses the F-18.

ok people let me tell you some facts.

Yes Jas gripen(Griffon) model A is a 4,5 gen fighter (version e an f is gen 5), it was the first to come out(4,5). It happened when sweden bought ONE f-16 to test it (the only f-16 sweden has ever owned) but found it too ****ty and continued developing our own plane to replace the viggen.

And it costs about 8 times less than one f-22 so chunder maybe ur f-22 is better but when u have one raptor we can counter with 8 gripens, (oh and we are NOT allies dude, we are neutral)

Friendly fire lol thats another matter but thanks to our NBF system (communications network linking the airforces with naval and groundforces) friendly fire can be reduced to a minimum (not saying we would need one since no swedish friendly fire has been recorded in modern time, but we hardly ever go to war), we've had that for circa 30 years. and all gripens have that.
F-22 does not have such a system but one like it is currently in development by american defense contractors.
oh, and americans invented the word "friendly fire" something that sticks to them quite nicely.

And if you flew with the f-16 guys? (Uppsalas flightregiment u mean?)
I don't know but I can't imagine f-15 is that superior at least not the earliest versions although i can say to you that a gripen has never been shot down either ;P

european countries don't use migs? WHAT? maybe not Holland but rumania has, ukraine, bulgaria, albania, makedonia.... or maybe ur one of those nuts that thinks europe is one country.

leadeagle SWEDEN does NOT use the f-16 we have the Gripen, and we used to have the Viggen, the Draken, the Lansen, and so on backwards...

Ahm i have to state that romania uses mostly f-16's since 2008 some smaller military bases still have some MIGs but mostly the f-16 is the primary aircraft... not saying that we dont have migs but we dont use them that much there always on standby if the f-16's arent ready

You are right! Meant Norway. Norway flies the 16 and we have several running around the squadron. I think we did have a couple Sweeds (sp?) here too for a while. Unfortunately I didn't get to fly the 16 with the Norwegians, as we are a NATO training base and we only operate T-6s, T-37s and the T-38. I believe it is a four year tour for them to come here and teach, then they get to go back to their airframes.

Apologies for confusing you and the Norwegians!

Never got to fly against a Gripen, but I think I read they were going to be getting a major overhaul on their engines and some avionics. Should make a pretty awesome airplane a little bit better.

Now a days, it isn't so much the plane or the pilot (but hey we are important!), but the systems that make a plane great. The only thing I can say as for American 16s, 15s and 22s is that although other countries may have same or similar planes, only a few of our allies have the the systems that make these older legacy planes still viable contenders way past their prime!

As for the 8 Grippens vs. the one F-22... you can't shoot down what you can't see, and with the 1753 F-35s we have coming... it's a good thing that although we aren't enemies, we see eye to eye on many things!!!

The bottom line is that Americans hate war. I hate war. It separates me from my family and my friends. Good people die on both sides. Unfortunately it is sometimes necessary when evil tries to take over.

I hope one day America and Europe can start to realize that we all have the same goals. We all want to live in peace and do anything possible so our children live better lives than we did.

    Cheers!

Ok, thanks for apologizing your mistake dude that was nice of you, although i didnt know you were mistaking us for the norwegians (who when it comes to airforces seems to have major brainleaks)

much of what you say are completely correct, especially when it comes to the systems in the planes making them still viable. then again, that's kindoff the point when u sell your old hardly working stuff to smaller countries.

As for 8 gripens... maybe you haven't realized that stealth does not mean its invisible.... not even on the radar. It means low radar signature. And a plane as big as f-22 is hard to get a low radar signature on, thereby its shape. Gripen is small, very small, smaller than an f-16. and thereby logically it has a smaller radar signature than most planes, not smaller than a f-22 although i can the imagine the difference is probably minor.
Then of course its about payload. Bigger payload (unless its inside the airplane) contribute to the signature. F-35 for an example (same goes for the f-22)loose a lot of its stealth capabilities if u have payload outside its interior cargo space(it can take about 2 missiles).

And then its up to the super mega fleet of 1753 f-35 u say u got coming...
yeah, right thats not going to happen mate!!! maybe u should pay attention to ur country's current economical condition. and the fact that the f-35 currently is still under development and that the estimated price for them are still rising. AND that other countries (who contributed to the develpment costs since the USA hardly had enough money) are beginning to look other ways (or have been for some times) for other planes to replace their long ovedue and more-expensive-by-the-minute f-35.

other planes like the eurofighter, gripen, rafael, mig-35 and so on.

america hates war??? thats certainly not the message ur giving to the world dude! as ur just fine basing invasions on lies, faulty intelligence and oilprofits!.

and don't give me the evil takes over bull****! i'm not the Fox news demographic!

I hope one day america will realize that their whole economy is a big bubble that is ready to burst and that they are standing at the beginning of a new depression and that we in the rest of the world all want our money back! so we can do anything possible to minimize the damage done. so our children can have a brighter future.

but then again i have to admit man, i prefer u yanks a hundred times before the chinese or the russians(especially the russians).
