Why don't you two compare specs and see if that might be the problem? I'm not sure.
IIRC, the only thing I have better than Thrawn is XP. IIRC, he uses Vista.

Perhaps it's like the problem I had with Fallout 3. My copy had major issues, so I returned it and got another one, and most of all those issues weren't in my new copy.
