1 Turn Research not Player Only??

Regarding the Trainer, $999.999 Gold, Unlimited Movement, ....

I've tested this out in the Road to Independence Campaign as there are less countries and I have found that If I simply use the Research cheat and move my mouse over every research icon setting them all to 0.

When I end my turn not researching anything at all I've noticed that all the other countries prestige ratings skyrocket(this is on the first turn) and if I don't use the research cheat they don't.

Is it a limitation on the game-code or simply an oversight??

yupp, notised this myself playing the Grand Campain. Seems like AI also get the same advantage...

Would it be possible to make the trainer give a School more research points instead maybe?

Anyways, i'd still love the possibility of using the cheat, even if AI can too, but would be better if only players gets it tho.

I'd wondered how my opponents had somehow managed to keep up the technological pace with me, even though they should have been in the stone-age compared to my empire. Hopefully this can be fixed.

I think that problem must be unique to the Road to Independence. I have never noticed it happening in my Grand Campaign games.

for those asking if the research cheat works for AI:
1) the option is ONLY active for 6 seconds
2) it is ONLY on the research items in YOUR list
3) it is ONLY on the items YOU highlight
4) it is ONLY able to be used during the time of the game where you are plotting your moves (enemy isn't doing anything)

I don't know how i could isolate this further from the AI!

maybe there is a better way to do this than i am doing it but i am not looking at this option any furhter. if people think it's not useful then we will remove the option-

I don't think so, because in my grand campaign I used the trainer to research all three trees before 1710, and all the other countries were still using plug bayonets, demi-cannons/rakers, and most of the other countries still had level 1 and 2 farms/industries

Maybe if you play the game on the highest difficulty, the game may have a internal option that keeps the other countries tech level up to date with yours.

i don't know, i tried M/M and the AI does seem to reseach rather fast. just had another battle, and they seem to have every military tech i have.

Thanks for your reply Cal

However, I'm just wondering about points 1) & 4) that it is only for 6 seconds and only being used during the time of game when you are plotting your moves.

As when I make a research option to take 0 turns it stays constant at 0 turns for the rest of the game unless I restart.
So my logic just says that it would have to be active (in some way or form) when the AI is taking it's turn.

This could be just something in my game but that is what I am seeing.

No offense meant to you trainer makers for you have done a fast and excellent job.
