    Hi there !

Trainer is working fine, except for crashing, but anyway...

Is it possible to cruit elite units like "les Vieux", "les Petit-Vieux", "Maison du Roi" (all French units)etc infinitly, because after 6 turns recruiting max (depends on the unit, the game just allow me to go on with "standard units"...

Please how to maximise recruiting capacity for elite units ?

    Sorry for my English..

    Thanks.

If a trainer can fix this, it would be great. More than likely though, you'll have to wait for someone from the modding community to change it. The game files are more complex and packed than they were for Medieval 2 and Rome, so it might be awhile.

I think this kind of option has been done on Medieval 2, but this game is not running on the same engine so the option could take some time to include in the upcoming megatrainer.

    I hate steam .

Seems like a pipe dream. But a good dream.

There is a very, very easy way to do this...

Well I think it's easy at least. I used it to take off the limit on Hessian soldiers and also edit their stats.

You can use the Pack File Manager provided by LtChambers from TWCenter.net.

    Go to the post here:
    www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=234546

The latest version (1.11) can be downloaded here:
    sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=255723&package_id=313260

So basically save that to your desktop or whatnot, unzip it and dump it in a folder.

Then run the executable file PackFileManager.exe.

Click File and then Open and go to following directory steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\data and open patch.pack

    1. Expand the patch.pack tree by clicking the + sign. The tree will expand. ***I backed up my patch.pack before tinkering with it.***

    2. Find db and expand that.

    3. Scroll down and find unit_tables and expand that.

    4. Click units and let it load.

    5. On the right side of the screen a table will appear. You can filter your results by clicking the drop down menu labeled Screen Name.

I'll use Hessians as an example. Click the Screen Name drop down menu and find Hessians. You can get to the H's faster by pressing H on your keyboard. Once you've found Hessian Line Infantry, click it.

Now it should only be showing Hessian Line Infantry in the table.

You can tab over and edit cost and upkeep, but keep tabbing over until you see a column labeled Unit Limit.

Change that to 0 and then hit tab again.

Then click File and Save. This allows you to recruit as many as you'd like.

Also, the changes are compatible with saved games as you're only changing the stats and properties of the unit and nothing integral to a campaign.

    Hope this helps.
