Empire: Total War Message Board  

I like TW games and I was really anticipating this one coming out, but honestly after playing it for about 30 minutes, I'm torn.

I want my damn files back! I liked being able to edit my preferences.txt in regards to ammunition, cut scenes, scroll speed, character movement speed, labeling armies and agents and the rest.

Maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see any of those options built into the default option menus in-game.

So what's the deal? I also do not like having to use STEAM, but I'm willing to forgive if I can rip those files apart and customize my game the way I want it.

It's really irritating. Help?

There's a way to unpack all the files for editing in the demo, so I'm assuming you can do the same in the full game. Google it and see if you can find any tutorials.
