shepard dead, have i gone clip of something, last time i playd, last thing you do is defete saren and in the end shepard comes out of some blocks or whatever

We were referring to the teaser trailer of Mass Effect 2.

Well unfortunately the trailer is out the game is too close to being released now but I would have liked to see the Collectors (from the second book) in there. (Spoiler In the book they went around asking for like 14 human girls, or a certain amount of life (any species) with odd diseases among other things. They could go on like a mass abduction of life, and you could travel to there side of the galaxy looking for them...

Anyway, Shepard looks well enough alive to me. Unless that was someone different in the teaser trailer?

No, he definitely is alive, I noticed when they were showing footage of the game at E3 one of the other characters said, "Shepard....I thought you were dead." So obviously something happens at the very beginning of the game.
