Hi, I'm worried about the steam version. Will I get banned from Steam if I use the trainer in Empire (only singleplayer of course), or the next time I'll play a multiplayer game? Will there be any trainers for the steam version (not just cheathappens trainers but any trainers)?
I want to be 100% sure.

As long as you don't use any trainer in Multiplayer, you'll be fine. I have a steam account too and I use trainers in all my singleplayer games.

I agree, i've used trainers in steam games before, and its been fine. As long as you don't use them online,I can't see how you could be breaking the TOS, so there's no reason for you to be banned.
