Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2 Message Board  

This is a question in regards to the terminator armour on Avitus and Tarkus. I wanted to know what are the pros and cons of equiping terminator armor on each of these squads. I think terminator armor is terrible, but i just wanted to hear what others think.

Terminator armour CAN be helpful given the right balance.

Cons: Slower Movement, no grenades(for Tarkus)

Pros: No setup time for Avitus(I would suggest not putting Avitus in Termie armour until you pick up an assault cannon)
Cyclone Missle launcher: This is bit of a life saver in my book.
Higher armour rating: Duh.
Improved damage put out: This goes mostly for Tarkus although I kept Avitus in TA untill I picked up "The Neverending Hail of Devestation" heavy bolter( the best ranged weapon I belive in the game).

Really it depends upon how you play. Experiment with different loadouts and squads and see if works for you.

Avitus to me is more effective without terminator armor, only one i can see putting in terminator armour is thadeus and tarkus. Avitus just whoops everything with his bolter.

Ive currently got thaddeus and tarkus equipped with Terminator armour.

Thaddeus has Holy Arms of the Champion and is invincible when he ports in (Using the green skill upgrades) Ends up with 1300+ Melee Damage.

Tarkus has a Storm Bolter and power fist and the missiles on him. Got some good melee and ranged damage with Word of the Chapter and Crushing Fist of Cortez.

Best way to do it in my opinion. Get alot of good benefits being specced this way, and since I have the Dready now too, the fact that they are stomping through cover isnt really a problem anymore. since now none of my units can really use it.

Are there more drops of the Terminator armor? Or is there only the one piece you get during the Angel Forge mission?

Anyone?
I want to know if I can get more of this armor or if I have to make a big choice as to who uses it.

you can get more from random optional missions. I got everybody but thaddeus in termy. Avitus without the setup and a plasma cannon is pure awesome.
