When I use the trainer (And it rocks, btw ), and I have this enabled, my units do not gain unlimited energy.
I guess my question is, is there a certain way to enable it, like the Mega Unit option?
Or do other people not have this option working either?

I believe the unlimited power options is for single player skirmish. And its not for unit energy...its for the power "resource".

you must press the key with the selected unit to re-fill thier power. you have to press it over and over, it does not fill the unit energy automatically. for instance, if you use your force commander special power, his power meter will drop and then slowly fill again. if you select him and press the option, it will instantly fill up. however, you will have to do this each time you use his special powers to refill it instantly. it doesn't automatically do it.

Correct, the power option is for skirmish and the energy option is for units.
So you push num5 to refill that little purple bar.

Thanks for the replies. I know about the refill unit energy function, I'm referring to the "Unlimited Power" option. I guess I was just a little fuzzy on the wording the trainer uses, since it lists "refill unit power" and "unlimited power".
