Well, it's just a hunch but maybe try reinstalling .NET framework. I have .NET framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 installed on my pc (though I'm not sure why I have them all and neither which one the editor uses). If that doesn't solve the problem I'm afraid I'm out of guesses.

Hello,
I have a problem with the new version with level up + down. It generates an error during load of the savegame:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value mit dem Wert 27 ist für SelectedIndex ungültig. Parametername: SelectedIndex bei System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.set_SelectedIndex(Int32 value) bei Sacred2SaveGameEditor.MainWindow.PopulateInterface() bei Sacred2SaveGameEditor.MainWindow.LoadGame() bei System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) bei System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
The version before is working without problems.

New version: www.abload.de/image.php?img=new_version_error02lp.jpg
I hope you can fix this problem. BTW I'm running the 2.43 German version of the game.

Thanks for the info, gasper. It's probably because of trying to read difficulties from the wrong place. I have added a fix, which should correct the problem. Now when the difficulty value is supposed to be wrong (meaning out of bounds), the editor should not crash but simply disable difficulty comboboxes. Hope this helps.

Thx for the fix.
But the same error message appears for this savegame.
I have uploaded my savegames to
www.mediafire.com/download.php?mzqtdutmy0o
The error appears for savegame 2 + 3 + 4. The savegames 1 + 5 + 6 are loading fine with the editor.
The old version from the editor (without level up + down) still can open and edit all 6 savegames without problems.
I hope the savegames could help you to find you the error, because this editor is great and helps a lot to make the game more easy.

Thanks, gasper. Your saves have provided valuable information about possible errors I wasn't aware of. I have fixed them and now I can open your characters without problems. I hope you also won't have any problems now.

Great job everyone!
The Latest version is just brilliant!
Can't wait to test this on the Expansion (once it comes out).

Thanks, indianwhite. As for the expansion, I hope that the editor will work with new savegames (it's possible if the file structure will not change drastically ). But bear in mind that combat arts for the new class (Dragonmage was its name?) will surely not work until I or someone else have them implemented. Also if some new skills will be added in the expansion they will have to be added in the editor too. I can see alot of work ahead of us. But a piece of software is alive while it is updated, so I guess it's a good thing.
