I must say...I'm really enjoying this game. Sure, there are minor issues with it (jumping is ridiculously restrictive) but overall, it's an extremely fun game. Lots of hack n' slash, gathering items for upgrades, and some of the boss battles are really fun. Her ditzy-blonde voice acting is annoying, but thankfully she doesn't talk all that much. Gameplay would have to be a 9/10, if only jumping was better.

The graphics are beautiful...I'm using an outside source to apply AA and Aniso as high as my SLI can run it, and the game still runs smoothly. Graphics are a solid 10/10.

Some of the music is actually pretty good, although there are some songs on there that grate on my nerves. Would have to give the music a 6/10.

These are just my thoughts. If you wish to add to them, by all means, go right ahead.

aw i thought the music was just right, spot-on pace anyway, kept things lively
was very suprised how smooth it ran considering how beautiful it looks, loading times were literally 1 second with just 1.5gb ram, framerate was stable60 in hordes of monsters on a 12 month old gfx card, i compare it to other new games and im like o.O wtf are all those other companys doin' with their huge budgets >.<

    tho jumping was ridiculously rubbish

    Graphics: 10/10

I love the graphics, have all the settings turned to max for this game and haven't noticed one tiny hiccup in the framerate, although I am running on it on a pretty good system. People have said that the bloom is over-done, however I feel that it was intentional and is intended to be stylistic, given that I feel it fits. Doing a little research I've found that many anime artists accentuate the gleam of sunlight on blades and armor, especially that of the hero(ine).

    Gameplay: 9/10

The game plays very smoothly, most of the levels fit very well from the one before it to the one after it, you don't get the jarring feeling of "Why is this level nothing like the last one?" but without creating a feeling of "Didn't I just do this level?" I think that some of the longer, more protracted fights can get a bit tedious but they're easy to keep playing because you're striving towards that next skill to buy. Jumping can be a bit tedious but once you figure out that you can fire to kind of hover and make the jump much longer, it doesn't bother you anymore. However, I took one point off for the overly tedious bit of trying to get your character to do her forward dive move.

    Sound: 9/10

The repetitive grunts of the heroine can get a little annoying, some of the techno seems to grind on for hours, but the grunting isn't as overdone as in some games and the music kind of drives the gameplay along. However the songs and sound effects all sound excellent and fit nicely.

    Overall: 9/10

I don't think there's very much that could have been done better except maybe the jumping dynamics. Over-all a great game, with great optimization and great visuals. This game does what it was intended to do, and does it well.

I'm really enjoying this game. I'll give it an 8/10 which is not a bad rating for me. Like any game it has its strong and weak points. If you like hack/slash action games this is a must buy. I posted some screenshots of it here: Link

Time to start a new game now without cheats

The game is ready for release here in the uk in a few days but i cant decide to buy this game on my PC (which is currently top end) or to buy it for my PS3. I guess it will look better on the pc rather then on a console but since u guys from across the sea already have it maybe you could share your thoughts with me on this. Thanks.
