Just recently got SoZ, patched up to 1.021 and run the game and trainer, when I activate the trainer then load game some of the chars/npcs say "Dead" under their status. I'm also unable to initiate conversation with some NPC's (Such as Kipp in the Tutorial).

Anyone else have this problem? No options activated, just with the trainer activated. Tried activating the trainer both at the menus and once in-game and both ways end up with the same problem.
