Well, I beat it, but to get the Super Rod, you would have to beat the Elite 4 anyways, to get the super rod because its on the Battle Isles.

Gyarados learns Dragon Dance at level 44.

You can capture a lowish level one with the Good Rod then level it up to 44.

i say just have a team that has a fire type(infernape is highly recamended) a water type and a gras type. for the other three use your steelix and get your self a richu or luxray and last find a dark or ghost type. try to get them to at least lv.50. i'v beaten the elite four many times so i know whats importent

For the first on use a fire type with high attak power and high speed like infernape. Dont worry about defence much only with his drapion. Use some fighting type moves for drapion.

Bertha has rock and ground types.You should use a grass type for quagsire and wishcash. For the others use a water type. Make sure you use some high attak pokemon to get pass some defence.

Flint is a fire type user with all the attak power. Use a rock or ground type for infernape and rapidash. Try to have high defence and attak for the others.

lucuin is soooo hard. Try to use dark or ghost types. Bronzong is the real pain. Use specil fire attaks flareblitz would be great. For alakazam try to use strong dark or ghost type moves

The champion is the worst. Spiritomb has only two spisific weaknesses dialgas dragon claw and infernapes flamewheel.
for garchomp and lucario use some dragon attaks. Use phisachal elctic or grass attaks for milotic.
