if you use the xlive wrapper, you will cause the trainer to not work. remove the xlive wrapper and run the game. if you don't have the most updated version of xlive, then your trainer will not work either. if you have muddied your install by using scripts, LUA mods, or any other mods, then likely your game is not in it's virgin state and the trainer will not run.
the best bet is to to install the game from scratch, making sure you have the latest xlive installed as well.
i repeat, using a different xlive.dll will cause our trainer to not work properly. you must have the original in place and remove any others from your install directory-

that might be why mine was not working i used a differnt copy of xlive i downloaded from there website instead of using the one that it comes with on the disk thanks for the help.
maybe you press the hot key more than one click.

sometimes i had to as the effect wore off for some reason and i started to lose health and wanted level went up
